What will I be up to this winter till end of July

While America is celebrating their Summer bash I am in the middle of winter, snuggled in warm sweaters and jackets while working on my books. Days are pleasant with the sun making its warm appearance, the nights cold so that you bury yourself underneath the blankets reading a book, in bed. Since I never do that it is a thing of wonder to see me in bed, snuggled under the covers reading a book. My kids will tell you, it never happens. I must be seriously sick to get me there, maybe it is because I get older, I really do not know but by 9:00 the PC is shut down and I in bed...so glad they don't see me now **smile**

Yes we do get some snow before you think we do not know what cold is, can be icy cold and once it rains, which can go on for days we are depressed because we do not see our beloved sun. I am a true South African to the bone, love my warm summers. To much rain and grey days makes us a miserable lot.

Another thing that is good about winter is of course all the food we eat, and South Africans can do that pretty well. We love rich stews filled with meat, vegetarians are mostly frowned upon in the circles I move in, they would think it is a dish and will be quick to ask where is the meat if not seen. Which will lead to a lot of comments which I will not add here **smile**. But you get my drift.

We love thick soups in a variety of colors, vegetables soup, pumpkin soup, bean soup, and my children's favorite pea soup.
Pancakes, melkkos and souskloutjies dusted with cinnamon and sugar (sorry guys but the names can not be translated, but take it from me you will love it, and yes you guessed it, it will go straight to the hips **smile**)

Sweet puddings that melts in your mouth topped with thick custard, cream or ice cream will accompany Sunday meals, and sometimes you leave the food to get to the sweetness first.

Even when it is cold we love to braai. Each man's recipe will outshine the others and it will be one big feast in
front of that fire, shivering the moment you step away.
We braai everything we can, steaks, wors, Fish, vegetables, and bread. We call it potbrood and yes the men makes them.
We even have a official braai day in South Africa, August the 17.
We women folk loves these events (please do not tell the men)  because we are not allowed near the braais, it is the men's domain and seeing that we are such a good nature lot we gladly step aside.
I mean standing before the stove or sitting near the fire with nothing to do...ahhh you get it **smile**

And we must not forget our beloved pass time, sport. Rugby to be exact and us girls...sigh, young strong bodies with muscles bulging and stretching running after a ball while we can watch our hearts content.

I really had to take a breather from the last few months reading and give y'all a break as well. **smile**
Still have a few post to do that will come up as the days go along but not as demanding as it has been. Looking at the list I wonder if it is a breather LOL.

I bet you were wondering what I will read in bed, well let me show you. Just like the food this is a variety of different genre's. Time-Travel, Inspirational, Fantasy and Horror, Erotic Romance and I am busy with Book 3 of The Beautiful Justice Series: Mason Michael a Inspirational, Apocalyptic Romance. A busy bee indeed. LOL

When Deana Murphy died she told God she would do anything if he would let her come back. Deana didn't realize what she was getting herself into. God granted her request, but in the form of a Deal. He had a mission for Deana that would change everything. Follow Deana as she takes on this mission with full commitment.
Deana is sent on a path that will require her absolute faith and devotion. She is tasked with stopping a high school massacre that would destroy many lives. She will have to move hundreds of miles away from any family or friends; she will have to leave urban Tampa and acclimate to rural Dothan Georgia.
One element of God's mission is for Deana to help heal a broken family in this small town. Part of the deal is that Deana has to get the man of God's choosing to marry her, and she has no say on who this man is. Her faith keeps her going and what starts as a mandate develops into an amazing love story.
This is a story of family and faith, love and inner strength, healing and conquering obstacles, and an absolute triumph of the human spirit.

Salvatore, the shadow legacy of Erevis Cale lives on even as his old foe Mephistopheles seeks to stamp it out at any cost. Living in a remote abbey nestled among the Thunder Peaks of Sembia, Vasen is haunted by dreams of his father, trapped in the frozen hell of Cania. He knows the day will come when he must assume his role in the divine drama unfolding across Faerûn. But Vasen knows not what that role should be . . . or whether he is ready to take it on. He only knows what his father tells him in dreams—that he must not fail.

Enter Drasek Riven, a former compatriot of Erevis Cale, now near divine and haunted by dreams of his own—he too knows the time to act is near. Shar, the great goddess of darkness, looks to cast her shadow on the world forever. Riven has glimpsed the cycle of night she hopes to complete, and he knows she must be stopped.
